Services provided by the 1st Judicial District Attorney's Office will remain operational at PorchLight in accordance with their holiday hours.
Services provided by Family Tree's Legal Advocacy Program will also be available in accordance with their holiday hours.

9/19/2024: In just its third year hosting an annual benefit, family justice center PorchLight has put together a crowd-pleasing formula—a great blend of fun, music, food and a welcoming atmosphere. The fundraiser’s “wear whatever makes you feel comfortable” dress code is always a hit. So it’s no wonder that this Thursday-night event, even with school and work looming the next day, was a huge success.

11/27/2023: The death of a woman in an apparent domestic violence murder-suicide incident in Littleton early Monday came as yet another reminder of the toll of domestic violence killings in Colorado. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office says deputies were called to a home in the 4300 block of South Holland Way, just south of the Englewood Correctional Center, just after midnight, saying the father in the home was shooting at the mother. The woman and 54-year-old James Aragon were both found dead. One of three children inside was hit in the leg by a bullet and a deputy grazed in the leg as well. [READ MORE...]

"JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. — PorchLight Family Justice Center has been working to give victims of abuse a safe, one-stop resource with the hope of curbing the fear of coming forward.
The lack of a centralized hub of resources leaves many victims of abuse choosing silence over safety.
"What I would see as a prosecutor is it was easier to go back to the offender,” PorchLight executive director Candace Cooledge said. And when a person goes back to the offender, they can't safely participate in the prosecution of the case.” [READ MORE...]
