Jefferson County’s International Women’s Day celebration began in Golden, Colorado in 2016.
Over the years, the event has included keynote speakers, free seminars, awards for deserving Jeffco
women, awards for Girls in STEM, networking opportunities, door prizes, “swag” bags for each guest,
publicity opportunities for area charities and non-profits, and various promotional opportunities for
Jefferson County businesses. Previous speakers have come from Colorado’s First Judicial District
Attorney’s Office, Colorado School of Mines, Lockheed Martin, the City of Golden, the Jefferson County
Economic Development Corporation, the Jefferson County Board of County Commissioners, Congressman
Ed Perlmutter’s office, and more.
